One great thing about working with associations is that not all the good work, achievements and lessons learned get lost once former activists move on, move out of the country or simply begin to focus on something else.

Here, in a time capsule, with the friendly permission of those authors we could still reach, we present you the stories about Finland from Students of Colour experienced and written as far back as 40 years ago and first published in 1984.

Can you imagine, at the time this book was written, there were only about 12000 non-Finnish born citizens living in Finland, compared to estimated 350000 now?
